This devotional was born from my own eleven-year wilderness journey. I spent those years in Calgary, Alberta, and it was on the eleventh year while walking by the Glenmore Reservoir that God reminded me I, too, had walked this long path. As I wrote these words, I realized it was my eleventh year that God had been guiding me through. This was more than a moment; it was a beautiful reminder of a promise taking shape, the story of eleven days mirroring a forty-year journey. In the waiting, I found healing and restoration. I also found that He was preparing my husband and I for a future move to the U.S., but first, I had to walk each step.
